OUR MISSION
This foundation promotes and foresees for the conservation of marine
biodiversity and the adequate use of marine resources to achieve the
development of coastal communities and regions. This requires the adoption
and application of alternative thinking, that be, environmentally sound,
economically viable, and socially acceptable.

To achieve this:
- We conduct research in a “logico-scientific” form that allows us to obtain
representative information of reality in order to propose appropriate
solutions to varying problems.
- We respect diversity – regional, ecological, biological, economic, humane,
and cultural – as an integral part for Sustainable Development.
- We encourage local communities, citizens, civil organizations, government
institutions, and businesses to embrace environmental, ethical, and social
actions.
- We only undertake research projects that are not in conflict with our
principles and our mission.
- We act in an ethical, environmental, and social manner.
- We operate honestly and are open to public scrutiny.
- We will work in partnership with various civil organizations, state agencies
and government institutions, international agencies and foreign
governments.
