Our company is born out of concern for the protection and conservation of the environment, specifically in the area of the Alta
Guajira.
Established on May 8, 2001, as a nonprofit entity, the Terrazul FOUNDATION’S environmental work began in high Guajira,
performing their first partnership with the Fund for Environmental Action through co-financing projects.
In 2005 FOUNDATION Terrazul started a new phase in the Guajira, establishing permanent offices in the city of Riohacha, facilitating
partnerships with local authorities and public institutions in order to provide benefits on environmental issues, aiming to favour the
lower classes of the Guajira population dependent upon renewable natural resources.
During the years 2008 to 2009, took the name Terrazul FOUNDATION Technology Development Center, emphasizing the areas of
innovation and technological development, evolving through agreements with SENA.
The Terrazul FOUNDATION is now holding fast in the field of Aquaculture and Marine Biotechnology, focused on the development of
biotechnology-based products from these ecosystems and their biodiversity.
